Today's been a big art day for me lol, I also got this (first image) commission back from a friend! So now I have a cute bean for both of my funny cats! 💖 (Both by natus_vincer on Twitter/vgen)

A few more pieces! I wish I could have seen the rest today.
A dark painting of a woman, titled "Woman (Black)" by Kwon Okyon. The description reads "This woman is nobody's portrait. Kwon Okyon's women were painted without models — not a particular someone, but a single face he refined all his life. Even in Paris, with abstraction sweeping the world, he kept returning to this face and never left its blue-gray: the color of the hour that is neither night nor morning. A portrait usually begins with a person. This one runs in reverse — the face came first, and the person doesn't exist yet. And still, it's a face you feel you've seen, in a dream perhaps. The one you can't quite place after waking — Kwon painted that person all his life." A photograph of a Korean woman standing in front of a house, titled "Promise" from the series My Wife At Thirty by Koo Sungsoo. A large painting of a whole bunch of indistinct human figures, each looking more like calligraphy than a person. As a whole they appear to form a mountain. It's titled "People" by Lee Ungno. The description reads "People, written in ink. Lee Ungno began as a calligrapher, and he painted people exactly the way he once wrote characters. No faces, no clothes, only gestures — but gather hundreds, and the whole surface becomes a dance. Lee lived in Paris, unable to return home after being swept up in a political case. In spring 1980, in the Korean city of Gwangju, countless citizens demanding democracy were killed by soldiers — and the news reached him in Paris. He painted these crowds until the day he died. Strange, isn't it. These people are not falling. Arms raised, legs wide, they are dancing." A painting of a man walking on a sidewalk. In the background is a veritable wall of plants. It's called "Untitled (Walking)" by Oh Chigyun.

We went to the RM x SFMOMA exhibition today! I only got to see about two thirds of it (I'll go back when I'm feeling better) but it was super cool. 💙 Here are some of the pieces I really liked.

Man cosmic exploration truly trivializes this shit lmao. With FC buff, food buff, and an engineering manual I got like one level per mission
A list of crafters, all at level 50 or above.

This whole conversation was extremely formative for him, especially after everything he'd been through up til then...and everything that happened after.
Alphinaud: Ahhh...few things compare to the simple pleasure of sitting beside a crackling campfire of one's own making. Estinien: Hah! So speaks the “great explorer.” Until recently, you wouldn't have recognized firewood if it came with kindling and a flint. Alphinaud: 'Tis well you instructed me so patiently, then! But yes, left to my own devices, I would have been compelled to signal to Ysayle with a pile of damp leaves. I was born the pampered son of a Sharlayan dignitary, and, alongside my twin, became the youngest student ever to be accepted into the Studium. How proud I was to match wits with scholars and philosophers... How ignorant of mine own shortcomings... That hubris invited manipulation and betrayal...and led to the downfall of the Scions. Ysayle: We all of us are guilty of similar ignorance. How many men lay down their lives, never knowing what it is that they fight for? Never questioning that which they have been taught to believe? 'Twas only upon meeting Hraesvelgr that I learned the truth hidden within our history. Were it not for that chance encounter, I would never have vowed to tear down the Holy See, and expunge the falsehoods with which it fans the flames of conflict. I would have lived and died in ignorance. That the truth has driven me to do terrible things, I cannot deny, but I would rather sin in the pursuit of peace than imagine myself virtuous for perpetuating a needless war. Alphinaud: If this journey has taught me anything, it is the importance─and difficulty─of holding to one's convictions in the face of failure...of striving always to replace one's ignorance with knowledge. Estinien: You are well on your way, Master Alphinaud. At your age, I was but a fool swinging a spear, with scarcely a thought in my head. Even now, I struggle to acknowledge the misconceptions under which I have labored. Sitting here, amongst these grand ruins, how can I deny that man and dragon once lived in peace? But for all that such an age existed, we are now in a time of war. Nidhogg killed my family, and no quirk of history will exonerate him. I may be ignorant of how the Dragonsong War began, but if we do not put an end to this conflict now, I can say for a certainty that it will only breed more vengeful souls such as mine. In my hands resides the power to vanquish a great wyrm. If Ishgard's survival rests on me wielding that power, I will slay Nidhogg myself...orders or no. Ysayle: Estinien... You gave your word... Estinien: My word is contingent upon the success of our parley. Show me the strength of your convictions, Lady Iceheart. Convince Hraesvelgr of the righteousness of your cause. Ysayle: Doubt not but that I shall, dragoon. Alphinaud: Well...winds willing, we shall have our answers on the morrow. Let us sleep now, and face our fate with the rising of the sun...

#7.56spoilers This was the moment that flashed through Mikh'a's mind as he was traveling to the Fourth. We have yet to understand why the wol sees Ysayle specifically, but if it's one moment with her for Mikh'a, it's this one.
Ysayle, Mikh'a, Moghan, Alphinaud, and Estinien sitting around a campfire in the Churning Mists.

[Guy with incurable chronic stomach problems voice] I've invented a device that allows you to "lay down" and rest your upper body comfortably while you're on the toilet. It's like a round desk but with wheels and a cutout so it fits around you and the toilet. I might be a genius
Two really bad drawings of a contraption. On the top right is a stick figure sitting on a toilet and laying its arms and head on a semicircular platform. On the bottom left is a toilet demonstrating how the contraption would be placed in front of it, with cutouts to fit around the person using it and wheels to easily pull it closer and push it away. Parts of the contraption are labeled "adjustable height" and "locking wheels."

Oh my god I went looking through old screenshots and found one of "baby" Rhemi (soon after I made her as an alt)... that is NOT the same cat
A pink catgirl with fluffy hair making a heart with her hands. She looks a bit dead-eyed, like a porcelain doll. The same pink catgirl, now with straight hair and glasses. She's cackling joyfully with a sparkle in her eyes.

I forgot to mention the best part about the changes - I added a crystal bell to the dressing room and now Jandelaine pops out of a mirror when you summon him 😂
A vibrant Elezen named Jandelaine appears to be popping out of a mirror wielding a pair of scissors and says "As once did this very realm, from the darkest depths of unseemly ugliness shall you rise anew. Prepare yourself!" This alt text makes it sound like a horror story but I promise the picture is funny not scary. Unless haircuts terrify you. The same picture, zoomed out and slightly angled to show slightly more of the small dressing room.

I uh...added a few more goals. And got most of the primary goals done already. Oops?

I know I keep saying this but it is SO satisfying to be done with all the society quests and custom deliveries in the game. It feels like having all jobs at level cap - like I'm actually caught up!
A list of goals to complete in FFXIV before the release of Evercold. All but two of the primary goals are checked off, with none of the secondary goals checked off yet.

Okay I managed to squeeze in a quick summer glam for Rhemi since I've apparently neglected to get her one...ever
A pink-haired catgirl wearing a white bikini top and pink pareo wrap skirt decorated with white flowers. She has a pink and white flower crown, white sunglasses with rosy lenses, a pink scrunchie on her left wrist, a pair of shiny pink folding fans attached to her hips, and white sandals. She's holding a white parasol and smiling. The same catgirl in the same outfit from the side, showing her left leg through the opening of the skirt and a better view of her strappy sandals.

I'm particularly proud of these two weapon glams. The chakrams look like they have runes on them, and the staff looks like it came straight from Naglfar :3c
A single grey chakram with a bunch of runes on it, and some glowing runes projected out of the chakram opposite the hand hole. A white staff with gold detailing. It appears to have leaves around the head of the staff, which vaguely forms the idea of the shape of a dragon's head and features a light blue crystal glowing at the very top of the shaft of the staff. The bottom of the shaft of the staff ends in a shape that looks like a key.

Mikh'a's Evercold glams! The style I was going for was "outfits that could theoretically appear in Skyrim" and I think I nailed it
