The #Richmond Olympic Oval is our largest asset and l have worked for 12 years to hold the old Oval board accountable for how our taxpayers money is being spent. The RITE councillors along with Kash Heed and Bill McNulty voted to create a NEW Oval board saving approximately 1 million dollars !

The Maritime Festival in #Richmond was a huge success this year RITE Richmond councillors Laura Gillanders ,Michael Wolfe and Carol Day and our candidate Jerome Dickey all attended and supported this event. We believe in the importance of bringing people together.

We lost singer, songwriter, and storyteller Dolly Parton today she gave so much to the world with her songs of inspiration. She believed women could do anything and she loved everyone.

Today we lost Dolly Parton, iconic, singer, songwriter, and storyteller. She died at the age of 80. Dolly brought so much joy and love to the people that she sang for , she was a strong, intelligent woman that a lot of people overlooked.. She’ll be missed …rest in peace Dolly Parton.

#Richmond is an amazing city with so much to offer its citizens. I treated myself to a float plane ride home and it was really cool to see our city from the air ! I hope you’re enjoying your summer too.

Whales in Nature ! We kayaked along the shore and saw these beautiful whales feeding. I hope you get a chance to get outside and enjoy our amazing coast line. Happy Summer ….

#Richmond city council voted unanimously to formally request an apology on behalf of the residents and take a clear public stance condemning this type of messaging. The city will forward this to the BC Human Rights Tribunal for their review. Based votes on experience not race

The Community Arts Council of #Richmond led by the president Susan Stolberg and the Vice President Linda Shirley have once again organized the Faces of Richmond event. This year 27 seniors volunteered to be the models for portraits painted by 25 local artists. Richmond is such a multicultural city!

#richmond city is working with BCHydro to find alternatives to destroying this giant tree while improving the critical infrastructure.
Councillor Kash Heed and l used our trucks to protect the tree till the crew left the scene.

The Vancouver Chinese family Association dinner on January 3 was so much fun. The cowboy themed event was full of entertainment, and I attended with councillor Laura Gillanders, who sang a fabulous Shania Twain song.

#richmond has the second lowest crime rate in Metro Vancouver.
When we all work together, we keep Richmond safe. Remember “ if you see it say it “ . Reporting crimes to the police is the best way to maintain our harmonious city.
