For various reasons, assigning sexuality to historic figures is problematic. But when I need a history-is-irony giggle, I remember that the sponsor of The King James Bible, James I (VI for you Scots) ...well there is a lot of evidence he was queer.

A few years ago we vacationed in Budapest. It feels like a victim. And yes, Austro-Hungarian Empire, Nazis, Soviets. But Prague has a similar history and feels like a survivor.
