they're never gonna package mainline transformers in alt mode again for a lot of reasons but chief of which is that studio series is the only line that cares about alternate modes and even that's just for the licensed ones

The whole "every toy is a speculative asset now" thing that companies like Hasbro implicitly and explicitly encourage with their premium lines and limited time exclusive releases has done a ton of damage to the cheaper end of the toy market to boot.
