🍏 The few who made it (me included) changed their thoughts, their attitudes to former work ethics and their life - which is a energy-consuming process, and still is. But it's the only way to come back.

It's sad to see that most of the fellow burnout sufferers I met in rehab clinic did not make it out of exhaustion depression even after 4 years, now. They waited for the rehab to end, took a little time off and then returned to their old patterns.

We don't need to rush. We can let our hearts slowly put down that heavy backpack. The bad feelings we nurture are just memories, they are not us! Healing happens when we focus on our inner peace, not on an equalized balance sheet.

Forgiveness is not like flipping a light switch. It takes time. When we carry anger or injuries inside, it feels heavy like a big backpack on our shoulders. It makes us tired all day and prevents us from thriving.

That "unproductive" downtime isn't wasted. It is where you actually recharge and keep from burning out. Your calendar belongs to you, not the other way around. Schedule and block time for relaxation, breaks and meals in it - you are worth it.

Take (good self-)care.

• Already burning out

One hack to start the change:
Start documenting your core workflows to create a clear handoff path.
Then, intentionally delegate one small task that doesn't not to be done by you next week to build trust in your environment.

More cooperation = less burnout. 🍏

3) Lavender Sachet: Lay a small bag with dried lavender pouch near your pillow for a aroma that can relax your nervous system.

Always check with a doctor before trying new herbs, especially if you're on other meds!

Take (good self-)care. You are absolutely worth it.🍀

2) Valerian: Try this as a tea or supplement to raise calming brain chemicals, helping you drift off better. There are higher doses of valerian pills available as medicaments (i.e. 400mg pills).

Medication can help, ➡️ but the main recovery work is up to you.
I changed my thoughts, my attitudes to my former work ethics and my life - which was a energy-consuming process, and still is. But it's the only way to come back.
