Somatic sensing can help us feel more balanced emotionally through noticing body sensations and how we respond. Allowing space to be with sensations slowly and responding in ways that feel safe. At CA we help you discover compassionate care practices that support you in your life.

At CA, we’re standing alongside refugees during these uncertain times.

Through somatic group sessions, we walk beside people through experiences of loss and displacement, reminding them that they are not alone.

We remain committed to helping refugees receive the emotional support they deserve💜

Did you know that our pets experience grief in their own way?

We can help by keeping familiar routines, offering reassurance and companionship, and giving them time and space to adjust.

Grief isn’t only something humans experience. 💜 theconversation.com/pet-loss-is-...

When we’re exhausted our first instinct can be to criticise ourselves. Speak to yourself with the same kindness you offer someone you love. Make space to listen to what supports you.

You don’t have to earn your rest, or wait until you’ve reached breaking point to be kind to yourself 💜

For many people, the loss of a pet is the loss of a family member.

The love we share with our animal companions doesn’t end with their passing, and neither does our connection to them.

At CA, we understand that pets are part of your family and their absence is deeply felt. We’re here for you. 💙🐾

As CA grows, we’re exploring inviting other somatic practitioners to join us for some of our projects. Whether through art, dance, movement, music or other practices, we are excited about these new possibilities and value the connections and learning that come from collaborating together. 💜

Noticing what’s happening in our nervous system can change how we experience stress.

Somatic practices help restore balance by bringing awareness to physical and emotional sensations. As we become more aware of what our bodies are holding, we make space for stress and tension to release. 💜

Grief isn’t only in our minds. Our bodies carry it too.

Our Compassionate Companion grief sessions offer space to talk about loss while gently introducing somatic practices that help you reconnect with your body.

A short walk in nature gets our body moving and can have a positive impact on our physical, mental, and emotional health.

Putting down technology and stepping away from distractions gives us the chance to slow down and notice what’s around us.

Sometimes that’s all we need to feel grounded. 💜

We’re thrilled to have received funding for our Compassionate Companion project! We have partnered with Craigsfarm Community Hub to offer free somatic workshops and 1:1 sessions. This is especially helpful for anyone needing emotional support while waiting for other services 💜

Preventative care is crucial to our well being. Each of us can find ways to care for ourselves in the midst of waiting for various surgeries and treatments.

When we feel called to care for others we meet that call with love and compassion. Let us each learn to do this for ourselves. 💜
