This is kind of the definition of a Bad Take
i think it sucks a lot that the dude facing professional disgrace killed himself but the solution is not no professional disgrace

Holy fuck. Glen Hansard put on one of the best shows I’ve ever seen—just him, a beat-up acoustic guitar, and a sound that filled the entire Hollywood Bowl. I was lucky enough to see him again in a much smaller setting and he was just as at home there. A horrible loss for music and for humanity.
RIP Glen Hansard. When I heard the news this morning I thought immediately of this amazing story he told about meeting Van Morrison at a young age. “Nice songs, nice voice, blah blah blah.”

I have a joke about Laocoön but I know you’d all tear it to shreds.
I had a joke about Calchas but I knew it wouldn't go well
I came up with a joke about Astyanax, but I threw it out

With that said, the proper sports fan protocol is this:

Americans should root for Balogun without feeling guilty.

Belgians and other opposing fans should root for America to lose 1-0 on a Balogun own goal.

Not exactly sure what to make of the new Phoebe Bridgers song and video, but I feel like I’m being both satirized and forgiven at the same time.

Suez Crisis but everyone has brain damage
>President claims the Iranians somehow called him while he was in the WHSR and asked him to stop
>said he ordered the bombing to stop
>Iranians claim he’s lying
>hour later and there’s more strikes

This might genuinely be one of the most bizarre sequences of events I’ve ever seen.

Ah yes, AI reduces bias. Yeesh.

AI assistance will reduce researcher bias, allow for more efficient use of expensive equipment, create more reproducible research and "bang for the buck" with research investments, and help the U.S. rise in research rankings, she said.

The more I think about it the more the only correct answer is “New Slang.”
had a debate last night about the definitive millennial song. some contenders: mgmt’s “kids,” yeah yeah yeah’s “maps,” kanye’s “all of the lights,” arcade fire’s “wake up,” postal service’s “such great heights,” animal collective’s “my girls,” lcd soundsystem’s “all my friends,” stroke’s “last nite”

What I wish for everybody to remember when Canvas comes back online:

The reason OUR data can be held for ransom is because Instructure, their owners (KKR private equity & Dragoneer venture capital), & our own employers (see ASU Atomic) monetize it.

It's Canvas that hacked education & stole our IP.
