Thirded. Paradox is what made me a fan (picked up the first book at a bookstore inside SFO) and I'd LOVE to get some more scifi like that at some point. :)

Yeah, it's been years since I had to do it myself (on a dying drive, even). Wouldn't stay up long enough to image, so it was a fun couple of days fixing the partitions, copying off what I could, disconnecting / reconnecting, and doing it again until it died for good.

Fortunately it's not terribly hard to rebuild the partition table in that case, but I REALLY wouldn't want to try and talk someone through it (especially someone who just nuked it because the computer told them to)
