i guess since i have a pretty strong negativity bias in general, the fact that people in those spaces were so direct and crude left me little room to ruminate about their intentions, which can be strangely reassuring for a brain that always assumes the worst in most social interactions

idk why i was stuck on that website for so long but i think the ephemerality of posting there was sort of soothing to my weird autistic bpd brain vs having to manage a more persistent online presence

it can honestly be just as toxic though because my family split into pro and anti prague spring communists in the 60s and refused to talk to each other for 30 years lmao

its so much more affordable too, lots of good vintage glass for great price points. since i shoot a lot of macro i dont mind the cropping with the APS-C sensor anyways, plus the cropping reduces the distortion for photogrammetry stuff.
