New curiosity: Why does NH have more vanity plates than anywhere else? We have seen more vanity plates in the past 4 days than in my first 50 years of life. All NH.

The Full Moon Dinner tonight may not wind up featuring the moon, but apparently our hotel has an astrophysicist who will give a talk.
I'm assuming they did not mean to imply they have an astrophysicist on full-time staff, but the way the guy said it made it sound like that's normal for a hotel 😂

Most of the time, I love being a tiny person. My center of gravity kicks ass for so many things, I can fit comfortably in small spaces, and I can always get to the front of a crowd.
But damn, it can be hard to be a small person who likes to carry a lot of stuff on her back. Head bonks get old...

It's so hard to believe I have been completely alone in the woods for over an hour only 2 miles from NYC. On a "very crowded" trail. That is basically empty.

AI has destroyed my productivity.
I feel like I spend hours getting rid of it on things every week as someone tries to sneak it onto my devices in some new, utterly useless at best, offensive at worst, form.
It makes early Windows bloatware seem benevolent. At least that was easy to delete!

A $3 @mta.info subway fare and some good Q train timing can buy you one hell of a view of the July 4th fireworks and the Brooklyn Bridge light show!

Just before the Macy's fireworks started, the heat broke and dropped to 84F, then a cool ocean breeze ran right up the Hudson and provided the happy crowd with nature's ac.
They were so vintage-y this year! Quiet and full of just stunning old-skool cool fireworks.
