why would you cite a survey of parents and not children to uncover the behavior of the children

they always skip the part of the story where the peasants are all screaming "THE EMPEROR HAS NO CLOTHES" the whole time while the nobility are all "Oooh what a nice dinner jacket, your majesty."

one time my husband had to block a guy cuz he said his queer housing doesnt allow trans women pre hrt because his dog is upset at men, and we just thought to each other, why is your dog more important than trans women + why are you lumping them in with men, what kind of convoluted bullshit is that

I wish people understood that TV writers:
1. *Have* actually thought more about this than even the most die hard fan.
2. Are beholden to time, money, and owner constraints that fans will never be aware of.
3. Are extremely likely to already be aware of any critiques because (see 1) but (see 2)

Hey, just so people know: it's not cool to reach out to writers who worked on something you watched to tell them things like "the next few episodes could use some refinement", or "I had a few issues with it", even if you're couching it in something positive.

you may have noticed that animation has never been more in-demand & in the zeitgeist and yet, seemingly, never have media conglomerates been less willing to produce it. you may also notice these guys get multimillion dollar severance packages after they gut a studio. there is probably no connection
Skydance now owns Nick, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Comedy Central, and MTV, effectively ending US TV animation as we know it. Countless jobs will be lost, and fewer new shows will be created. An apocalyptic scenario for cartoons, yet it's maybe the 5th-worst thing about the Paramount-WB merger!
