There is something about Erdős' penchant for amphetamines and the parallel habits of the AI-lab class that is strangely syncretic.

V convenient how the Wirtinger complement gives you steepest ascent on C->R through the Hermitian transpose. Just one of those little things we don't stop to appreciate day to day

It occurs to one that the initial expectations for "internal insurrection" w/r/t the war in iran is a classic case of "getting high on your own supply" (of propaganda that the preceding protests were reported at larger scale and severity than perhaps factual)

Need to make bluesky more evil but in like a funny way bc the world is also evil, not in the bad way where it's like a curated catholic LARPers and rabid eugenicists (clearly not mutually exclusive).

I will strongly dispute any and all allegations of a "Sade revival" whenever suggested, unfortunately all of their creations are timeless jewels and will be eternally perfect. This of course refers to the singing pervert not the writing pervert, though i have no quarrel with the latter.

I have at least two acquaintances who seem to have had mild schizophrenic breaks from exposure to the recent Epst*in file news and I am coming around to Name Of the Rose style attitudes about Forbidden Knowledge, maybe certain things should be meted out with care.

The Copenhagen Metro doesn't have benches on the platform (boos) but it's because there's maximum four minutes between trains (cheers)

When I say "I love Latex" it comes across different depending on if the audience is grad students, perverts, or both in one.

tw****r algo serving me up c*th*l*c LARPers, I can't imagine a lonelier life, play-acting your entire identity down to the children. Idk maybe that's the thing though, the world grinding us into pseudo-autonomous simulacra agents. It's nice to have and have had real and complicated friends.

Johnathan Byers / Charlie Heaton is the only believable actor in Stranger Things S5, but it's just because he's clearly incredibly depressed about starring in such a poorly written ill conceived tv movie disaster.

Achievement unlocked in that I did successfully get my wife to actively listen to me explaining Warhammer 40K lore for at least 10 consecutive minutes.

Someone pointed out to me that "methodologies" is like ..the study of methods, and usually the intended term is just "methods". I wish I had never learned this. I am just annoyed all the time including at myself for being annoyed. I am being constantly punished with the burden of awareness.

Having to explain to my wife that what I'm doing is very complicated and important at Big Boy Graduate School and she sees a Latex document with "Probably Approximately Correct" in Bold Font.

I must regretfully inform those who are unaware that "Almost certainly probably approximately correct" is very precisely and formally defined in mathematics.

Still stuck on it but guaranteed that the Nobel peace prize winner this year will be on the top of the list for embarrassing missteps of the rules based order in the rear view of history
