this whole lengthy sequence where the rebels are preparing and strapping themselves into the starfighters, climbing small ladders inside, lowering the droids into the ship, buckling into the seats, its all enjoyable to watch, it adds so much weight to the following fight and tragedy to the deaths

hans animosity towards leia and casual misogyny was the theme of many male antagonistic characters and matches that attitude of the time when the movie came out, including the nonconsensual kissing, and its still as dull, disappointing and unimpressive as it continues to be now...

obi wan saying that he "never owned those droids" in reference to C3P0 and R2D2 makes a lot of sense since in the past he wouldnt consider droids to be simply tools or lesser. though it is really odd that obi wan and the droids decided to burn the bodies of the jawas while luke was away...

watching star wars a new hope rn and I really enjoy the more subtle music during some scenes, with little uplifting melodies in the background as they're talking, the actors and acting is pleasant too cause its quite natural and has ltitle mistakes here and there...

if you havent seen Nimona I really recommend to go watch it! it took me a while to see it but I'm glad I did cause it has such wonderful animation and lovely storytelling, also a few trans flags throughout and a supportive underlining message for trans people boxd.it/Aiyc #letterboxd #transrights 🖤

why didn't they continue making the hellboy movies with ron perlman, there was a perfect ending in 'the golden army' to focus on solo adventures and his relationship with liz!
