We were doing this with scratch orgs on Salesforce DX years ago. Ephemeral, per branch, defined in source, thrown away after. Spinning them up was never the hard part. Seed data was. Every schema change broke the fixtures and somebody owned that forever.

We have been leaking authority across system boundaries for twenty years.
Agents did not create that problem, they removed the slack that let us live with it.

Most of my platform and infra network started as a DM or an intro from someone else. What kept it was being useful later, usually during a bad week. The intro is cheap. The follow-through is the part almost nobody does. If you are in the middle of one, my DMs are open.
