Extrapolate the logic with me.

1) Public facing AI models have grown by leaps and bounds in terms of capabilities on an exponential curve.

2) This progress looks to continue into the foreseeable future because of investment.

3) We are already seeing problems publicly.

4) What don't we see?

In the past, the rich used to pay higher taxes.

Now, the government pays the rich interest on a swelling debt, caused largely by lower taxes on the rich.

It's a big switcheroo that we need to talk about if we're going to talk about the national debt.
The Secret Way the Rich are Getting Richer
The biggest untold story about how we pay for government involves a big switcheroo by America’s wealthy. Watch.

For some people, libraries are the only access they have to the internet. Whether going into the building to use public computer workstations or sitting in the parking lot using the library’s wi-fi, it’s their only way to connect. 🖥️🔊🎧📱

companies are sourcing millions of printed books for AI labs that scan them for training data, then destroy them. printed books are more valuable because they're free of AI slop, and AI labs know destroying them is an "optics problem."

The AI company apparently found destructively scanning ‘all the books in the world’ easier than dealing with copyright in its quest for training data

Wild how they screwed up the Internet so badly that they're now doing this for the human touch

Also note they're going for books published pre-2022 to guarantee there's no AI slop... The very thing they're trying to forcefeed everyone
No longer content with pillaging intellectual work and dismembering our environment (already critically weakened), AI companies are now hellbent on destroying books galore including rare editions.

Shut down these nefarious enterprises already.
AI labs buy, scan, shred millions of rare books
If you have retreated to physical books because the internet is too full of AI slop, bad news — now they’re shredding the books to feed their AI slop machines.

It can and will expand. Unless you completely remove it through building a structure of total freedom.
