The Environment Agency is hosting a public drop in session for the Crane tidal gates replacement works, which are planned for autumn 2026. This event will be held on Tuesday 29th September, 2-6pm in Isleworth.

The Environment Agency has a camera installed in the fish pass at the Mereway Road Weir, Twickenham. Here is some edited footage of fish in the pass. This is great evidence that fish are using the pass to move between the middle and lower Crane.
