I'm a cyclist re-tweeting the constant stream of Tweets that illustrate peoples crazy, ill informed, and frankly terrifying, view of cyclists (I also own a car)

I don't hate cyclists — I am one. The name throws people. This isn't hatred of cyclists, it's a record of the hatred aimed at them. The 'pay road tax', the close passes, the 'get on the path'. Kept by someone who actually rides.
"£110m in e-bike injury payouts" said the BBC. But as MP Fabian Hamilton pointed out, not a penny of it can involve a legal e-bike - that fund only covers uninsured motor vehicles, and a legal e-bike isn't one. The dangerous ones are illegal motorbikes. Stop calling them "e-bikes."

Whatever nonsense gets thrown at you during the week - none of it beats the ride home on a Friday. No queue, no fare, no fuming in traffic - just you, cycling on. That's why we put up with the rest of it. Enjoy!

Anti-cyclist bingo, since we all hear the same handful of lines on a loop. Tick one off every time you hear it. Full house by next Friday - although you'll probably manage it by Tuesday :D

London's cycleway network just passed 450km — five times what it was a decade ago, and now longer than the entire Tube. While people argue about whether anyone actually wants bike lanes, the city just quietly keeps building them and filling them up :)

Having just migrated over from X I'm struck by the completely different cycling sentiment here. It seems to be vastly more pro bike. I was getting jaded by the constant stream of bicycle invective over on X and this is a breath of fresh air
