Yesterday I made my first trip to The Nickel Cinema to see 1981 curio Strange Behavior, a slasher-inflected B movie throwback. (There's a killer in a Tor Johnson mask.) Fitting that I passed the Scala on the way, as that's the spirit The Nickel self-consciously recreates. I'll definitely be back.

I'm always in the market for a Seinfeld clip (and Jason Alexander's "alright" at the end of the scene deserves an Emmy.) But the thing that excited me most was that I was able to spot a glimpse of Kim's Video (and it's not even in the right ratio!!)

Do I know anyone who wants a box of Sight and Sound Magazines from the 80s and 90s? Free to anyone who can collect them from East London in the next week or so.

(Please message me if interested.)

And that same Italian edition is available to buy on Abe Books. (I won't, but still it was fun chasing it down.)

I was intrigued and it was easy enough to discover that it's the Italian edition of this anthology, "The Satanists":

Bogart's super stardom happening in real time. The Petrified Forest was released in 1936. Night and the City was published in 1938, three years before High Sierra and The Maltese Falcon. Bogart is still a supporting actor (apart from in B movies.) But he's making enough impact to sell a shirt.

Me at the Hayward Gallery Chiharu Shiota exhibition, looking like a spy meeting a contact in an arty cold war thriller from the 60s.

I don't know if they put it up specially, but this was a fitting poem to find here on International Women's Day.

I just finished Rusty Lake Paradise (on mobile) I think this is the 12th of these that I've played. Imagine a puzzle game written by David Lynch and designed by Edward Gorey. I absolutely love them.

If you're in London between now and November 9th, there is a gorgeous *free* (and under advertised) Frankenstein exhibition at Selfridges. Costumes, designs, models, and first editions of the novel. (Thanks to mirror-lurking @johnnymains.co.uk for taking me there!) www.selfridges.com/GB/en/stores...
