Took Charlie the cat to the vet. I think someone at the vet’s was either inspired, or bored, or possibly both. This is the bag of medication we were provided.

Does anyone have a contact email for the Business Archives Council. I've tried the contact form, but no reply, and the only email I can find on the webpage keeps bouncing back. I just need a very simple question answered.

Someone accidentally shares a document to 2000+ people at work. Cue everyone sending "reply all" asking whether they should have received it, or for variation, stating that they have mistakenly been included in the share.

Does any archives people have good examples of how to deal with offensive/outdated language in archive material when cataloguing?
Anyone have any examples/guidelines/polices/articles they can send my way?

In the spring I agreed to become the new leader of the Saturday School Danish lessons at the Danish Church in London. Trying to find teachers, all volunteers, over the summer has been one of tge most stressful things I’ve ever had to do.

Can we all just agree that unless it is "oh, that looks nice" or "your lunch smells delicious" or other positive comment, there is no reason whatsoever, at all, you should comment on a colleague's lunch.

As we’re in the midst of harvest season, here’s a man weaving a basket in SE England. Taken by Douglas Glass, a Sunday Times photographer working in the 1950s and 1960s. We now hold his full archive so keep an eye out over the next few weeks as we reveal more of these treasures.

So, I found out today that a past (1920s-1940s) member of staff always known as Miss Davies was in fact married and was Mrs White. Nothing in our archive, not even her obit in The Times or staff magazine, has any indication that she was married. But marriage certificate on Ancestry does not lie.

Missed #ConfinedCocktails last Saturday as there was a wedding I had to attend. This is the only photo of me with a drink in my hand video calling MIL in Norway who was too ill to travel. I’m very happy @heritageadrian.bsky.social took this sneaky photo. Today the tipple is fruity cider.

Me, having sung at numerous weddings during my church choir year: better remember to print order of service copies for organist and singers so they can check against their version of the hymns.
Me - having sung in a church choir from age 9 to 19 and having decided on Danish hymns for my wedding when I was a teen - emails organist with hymn number & details of tune incl. which arrangement I’d prefer.
Organist: “If every bride was as organised as you my job would be much easier!”
