I don’t think there was an implication that they are the same. Quite the opposite - if someone you admire aligns with an otherwise polar opposite in support of dismantling an existing state, it is past time to raise questions on the motivating animus

I did question why Ali - posted recently on root Israeli societal attitudes & now randomly about how a celeb thinks US Jews perceive themselves - is influencing and platforming (randos)on the inner psyche of other groups (of Jews). Wouldn’t this seem not ok concerning other ethnic/relig/natl groups?
