Your admin just spent over a week in #PortlandOR. We were out west for last weeks partial #lunareclipse. Our viewpoint was the hotel parking lot, demonstrating the challenges viewing even a relatively easy to enjoy celestial event can present from a city. Still wondrous; who got an awesome shot?

Once upon a time I owned four telescopes. I recently sold two bigger ones that hardly ever got used, ordering a SeeStar S30 smart scope. With the chaos of the last week today was the first time I took it out for a test drive. Not bad for first light. #SeeStar #smartscope #astronomy #astrophotography

—The U.S. is having its warmest autumn on record by far. The past 2 mos are nearly 1F above any other Sep-Oct on record.
