57% of US adults are operating with the reasoning and developmental skills of a 6th grader.

Not kids, adults.

If Moderna is no longer bringing vaccine trials for Epstein-Barr virus (good evidence that EB causes Multiple Sclerosis), herpes, and shingles because of Trump appointees, I want prison time for those appointees.

This might be dooming millions to disease they don’t have to experience.

Me and @momodriller.bsky.social's sweet baby boy has lost limb function very suddenly and is getting worse daily. He needs an MRI and (likely) surgery. It's expensive. We've already spent over $1k and can't afford much more, & he's running out of time. Anything helps, thank you. gofund.me/ba3da64f4

I would love to give back to the card that got me into commander in the first place. My Riku of Two Reflections deck has changed quite a lot since 2011 but still holds a place in my heart.

Every once in a while I tell people from other countries about how the health insurance system works in the US and they are aghast. Yesterday a guy straight up didn’t believe me when I said people can die because of not being able to afford medicine. He was sure I meant in the distant past.

I just got the official email from the NSF about the drastic cuts and I think the correct translation is "if you are a young researcher who still wants to do science strongly consider leaving the United States if you can." which, really, is not an ideal message to be sending.

3/4. If we accept the idea that moving a person from one place to another undoes rights and disempowers the judiciary, we are endorsing the basic Nazism practice that enabled the killing of millions.

Called my Senators and Rep today to ask that Congress reclaims their authority and work to block Trump's use of emergency powers to force tariffs. I used the 5calls.org app to have the direct phone numbers for their offices and a script to help state my case. I encourage you to do the same.

The price of eggs in the US is spiking, mostly due to #H5N1 bird flu. Solving the problem requires urgent, important communications from the CDC & FDA* and rapid development of research by the NIH**

Devastating for scientists and their research, and everyone who benefits from that research.

I’m not sure if everyone outside academia is aware that a delay or “pause” in grant funding often means the researchers themselves are lost from the field, along with their expertise.
