The inquiry was unfinished, but the public verdict was already complete. ⚖️

“Jason Arday: Guilty Before the Facts” examines race, institutional power and why a Black man reaching the top is rarely permitted an ordinary failure. ✊🏾

🔥 Big problems. Small answers.

Heatwaves. Drought. Wildfires. Failing infrastructure. 🇬🇧

Britain’s response? Stop selling disposable barbecues. 🤦🏾‍♂️

The emergencies get bigger. The answers get smaller.

‘In 1989, a young Orbán told the crowds in Heroes’ Square that it was time for the Russians to go home, just as protesters had demanded in 1956; almost four decades later, he was heckled on the campaign trail with the same words.’

FEMA’s top official said that the “vast majority” of calls were answered during the deadly Texas floods.

But new data indicates that the agency failed to answer 58% of the calls, and the average wait was 61 minutes at the peak.

Strict for the public… flexible for everyone else. 🚿

We’re told we’re a leading economy — but in places like Royal Tunbridge Wells, basic services don’t add up.

At what point does “shared responsibility” become one-sided? 📉

There was a bus driver in London looking for a toilet mid-route.

Not distracted. Just… searching.

He couldn’t stop.

That’s normal now.

I’ve written a breakdown of Wes Streeting’s NHS workforce plan — not the headline version, but what happens when you interrogate it.

“UK graduates first” sounds strong.
Until you look at supervision, rotations, funding, and burnout.

KFC open on Christmas Day 🍗🎄
I’ve said this year that Christmas doesn’t feel like Christmas, and this confirms why.

People matter. But we’ve lost shared pauses.

We’re more fragmented now, drifting toward an always on, US-style convenience culture. KFC isn’t the cause, it’s the symptom.

Bad leadership doesn’t just make systems inefficient — it drives out the people who actually care. 🚪
The result? Hollow institutions, low trust, and permanent decline.

This isn’t new. It’s structural. Promote the wrong people, and the best will always walk. 🧠⚖️
