There's a bike shop a few doors down. I test rode a few bikes there recently. It's easy to go around back to Danehy Park, and just a crosswalk away from the mostly-lovely Watertown-Cambridge Greenway. But the shopping plaza itself is not at all friendly to peds or bikes.

Fluffernutters are one of my favorite things about a couple organized late-September bike rides I do every year. It's just a shame I never make it to Somerville's What The Fluff festival because I'm always doing one of those rides the same weekend.

I was once part of a captive audience on a flight from LAX to Hong Kong. A wedding was held while we crossed the International Date Line.
At least I got a nice slice of cake out it, but I still shudder recalling the horrid "Wind Beneath My Wings" solo over the PA system.

It's so much easier to predict than it used to be before the pitcher was on a timer.

The story was that Oliver's frat made the group of pledges measure the entire bridge using him as a ruler. It's remarkable that he eventually became the chairman of ANSI and the president of ISO. In a sense, he has a lifetime of being the ruler of all rulers.

I just wish there would have been a flood of stories about newly proven health benefits of myrrh. Somehow, my brain already knew that myrrh and diarrhea have the same weird combination of R and H. Alas, I suppose that wouldn't have helped me with the "ends in IA or EA?" question.

It keeps on ticking, literally. I still ride my bicycles about 100 miles per week. Being on Coumadin is annoying, but life continues to be great and I have no complaints.

Same. I got my first echocardiogram as a teen in the '70s. In '94, an echo showed my ejection fraction (the % of the blood pushed out of my left ventricle each beat) was tanking, so I needed a composite valve replacement ASAP. I watched the last World Cup Final held in the USA from a cardiac ICU.

We laughed for days after passing this friendly dude in Machias Maine (a short drive from Campobello New Brunswick) last summer.
