Exactly. It’s a total hobby for me, I do technical models/diagrams for my tile work and the photos balance that out. I shoot in monochrome, I consider it finding drawings in nature and architecture.

Thanks Mark! I would say the same for what I’ve seen of yours. Great technique all around, the drawings are amazing. I used to love drawing in graphite and consider my photos an extension of that.

That is my neighborhood and I take the B or C there. The northern part of Central Park is also nice (Harlem Meer, Conservatory Gardens). Further up is the overlooked Hispanic Society Museum and then, of course, the Cloisters. There is a lot to see way uptown! Let me know if you want to have tea.

Riverside Church is based very closely on Chartres. Also, St. John the Devine is blocks away. They were somewhat rival churches, both are fabulous.

Thanks Jimmy! First time in a while I had hauled out the D850, it has such dynamic range for a situation like this. I made only minimal edits. Quite something on a 4k monitor. Optics, man.
