Just wanted to say, more than 100 folks have checked this out. This is my first time posting a game, and any interest is stunning to me. I am aware it has a lot of work to be done, but thank you all for giving it a peek!

Here is a small clip of my architecture prototype. It includes a number of things from the thread you gave me ideas for: Use of a Game Master Singleton, classes to receive signals and create and return the requested node of requested type. Thanks for all the advice! I feel like I'm flying now.

Ooooh, right right. Since resources are ref passed, you def need to duplicate them otherwise you're just accessing that same resource across all uses.

I had initially tried to set up all my 'entities' as in anything with stats as a series of parent child resources, entity, creature, player, monster, etc. Since I'm new i was getting lost in the sauce. I gave that a break and have been working on other stuff. Now with signals and this I get it!

Oh this is a neat snippet here. It clears up an issue i was having understanding how to use resources. This makes a ton of sense now and gives me some ideas.

So I've been breaking out my code scripts and classes to make sure I've got a good, clean, readable architecture. I want to make modular factories instead of repeated one off snippets. Right now my GM script essentially creates a few instances and triggers the dominoes to speak.

Right I've just done a few guides on making signals and emitter pairs. It can get quite complex what you are allowed to send set up and use. Like I understand the base pairing, just how to send data types and set up the rest to trigger correctly ^^'

Oh I love this art style. I might have to give it a check when I move to 3d / isometric!
