My best friend died an eminently preventable death after being ignored by doctors and nurses and accused of being a "seeker" (they had security toss her bags and throw out her medications). Turned out she had a pulmonary embolism.

In our meritocracy we're told if we work hard we'll succeed, but the reverse logic is if we don't succeed we haven't worked hard enough, & in that system immigrants and benefit claimants are seen as the least deserving, those who get something for nothing, driving a sense of meritocratic humiliation
Apart from the actual stats, the most reliable indicator that immigration is plunging (to our obvious economic detriment) is Nigel Farage turning his dishonest attentions to the mythical millions of benefits claimants.

My dad has lived his entire life in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania. The only time he moved away was to Mcadoo for 6 mnths. He voted for Trump the first time, realized he was more corrupt than the rest of them, and has become more liberal and even less racist in his retirement. Few of his hunting friends have
