By the Holy Spirit God’s grace brings about a holy mosaic /rainbow of different expressions of our one humanity in Christ. Lesbians, gays, bisexuals, trans persons, intersex persons, asexual people, and the rest are a gift to the church that should be cherished and welcomed as prophetic existences.

The Sacred Heart bleeds with every LGBTQIA+ person who is shunned by Christians, who are told they cannot be queer and Christian. The Sacred Heart of Jesus is the theological core of Pride month.

I find it jarring that the English rendition of the simple Latin Sanctus mimics the Latin by making the second syllable the drawn out one: Sanct-u-us, Hol-ee-ee. It would make so much more sense as Ho-o-lee. The current practice sounds much screechier in English than Latin.
