My 11 year.old granddaughter would like non gendered uniforms. She says the boys get to wear.comfortable clothes while the girls have to wear dresses from the 70's. She especially hates sitting in the floor in a dress. I had these same arguments with school in the 70s but nothing has changed

So many Australians have a lot of trouble recognising that footy players can be rapists, good blokes can be abusers, preists can be paedophiles and war heros can be murderers. And they seem to share the same political persuasion.

Sounds like Australia
Giorgia Meloni’s referendum loss this week exposed her vulnerability.

But Italy’s opposition will need to unite if it wants to seize the momentum and topple her.

Just watched The Post on ABC. "The press is to serve the governed, not the government." How ironic.

So Facebook has removed the ability to find out where an account is controlled from. No more identifying Russian or Nigerian accounts. Claims it is to protect OUR privacy.

We have a head of the National Corruption Commission who does not understand conflict of interest and how it should be declared. This is his second offence following the debacle of Robodebt

@abcnewsaustralia.bsky.social why did you go to Mike Pezzulo for comment on the need for a Royal Commission? He was sacked for good reason. His views on politics should never be sought.

In Australia we have the same issue with the right wing parties
"Spanberger is almost certainly gonna win by a large margin. And what we won't see are 1,000 think pieces saying 'Republican attacks on trans kids didn't work. They have to choose a new message.'"

Remember those four years where we in Australia didn't wake up every morning and immediately check what new shit happened overnight?
Walz says Harris "would have been a fantastic president... we wouldn't wake up every day to a bunch of shit on TV. We would wake up to an adult w/ compassion & dignity doing the work, not a manchild crying about whatever is wrong with him. May his fat ankles find something today. Petty as hell."

I'll say it again - Trump did not write this post
It is far too grammatically correct. I'm not saying he didn't dictate it, but there is no way he typed this tweet

How do we possibly have the situation where senior members of the coalition have never seen the agreement and don't even know what areas it covers? Even when they are in government? Who are the faceless men who run the right in Australia???

Net zero and nuclear should not be in Coalition agreement, according to Ruston
A split has emerged between some members of the Liberal and National parties over the future of the opposition's commitment to net-zero and nuclear.
