Meet Cynthia "Cynt" Marshall, former CEO of the Dallas Mavericks. In February 2018, Marshall became the first Black female in the history of the NBA. Marshall worked for AT&T for 36 years in leadership role focused on improving workplace culture and encouraging diversity, equity and inclusion.

The 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, was the only all-Black, all-female unit and part of the Women's Army Corps deployed overseas during World War II. The women were tasked with clearing a massive, years-long backlog of undelivered mail for over 7 million U.S. service members in Europe.

Brigadier General Charles Edward McGee an American fighter pilot was one of the first African American aviators in the United States military and one of the last living members of the Tuskegee Airmen. McGee’s career began in World War II flying with the Tuskegee Airmen. He flew 409 combat missions
