Father of a scientist. Living vicariously. One degree of separation from the things I really love and should have pursued: Science, AI, Music, History, Writing. Surrounded by the things I really hate: Politicians, Organized Religion, Grifters.
Here’s my son’s bio in the NOMIS website. I’m very proud of him.

We witnessed world class fútbol compete against low class fútbol. The outcome restored in me a little of the hope for humanity that I lost in the last few years.

Shameful that the first thing people ask when a politician dies is who will replace them. Like there’s only room for one at a time in hell.

When I click on a link and the website has a million popups. Seriously. Does this work? Do people click on them on purpose?

Introducing politics into a game takes a lot of the joy out of it.

The Saudis can afford to pay for good players but cannot afford to train good players

That humming sound everyone is talking about. It is the sound money makes when it goes from our wallets to the grifters in charge.

The press: algae growing in pool OMG! Me: name the contractors who got paid for this failure and name the ones lining up to fix it.

You know that game where you add “in bed” at the end of every sentence? From now on add “with taxpayers money” to the end of every sentence this administration utters, writes, or broadcasts.

I’m conflicted on this new trend to limit social media access for young people. On the one hand, it limits propaganda efforts to make them into future puppets of authoritarian governments. Like, how are they going to be convinced that electing criminals into power is what god wants?

My son was just awarded the NOMIS-STRI Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Animal Behavior fellowship. He’s not in social media so I just want to brag about him. We’re so happy for him. He worked extremely hard on his proposal.

If a new regime dissolved the I R S and formed a new agency, would it still be bound by court settlements made by the previous agency?

A lot of us continue to spend in products that make oligarchs wealthier and more able to align themselves with an admin who rewards them with the taxes we paid for their products. It should be easy to be without cable, Netflix, Amazon prime, etc. Cut the umbilical cord. Not a boycott. Common sense.

A nice all expenses plus salary paid vacation in Italy for me and my whole family and accomplices on taxpayers money would be nice about now, said no one except traitors to my country

Unbelievable that the only possible remedy is for normal Americans to risk their lives rather than spineless politicians risking their donors.

A warning to the Danish. Anybody with any influence can be bought with unlimited access to very large sums of money that doesn’t belong to them.

I have a Nobel Prize to sell, but only individuals with unlimited funds seized from working people can afford it. Sorry, folks. Some of you have to earn it.

After the insurrection I thought, “just wait, liberal anger is worse and you haven’t seen nothing!” We still haven’t seen nothing.

Wouldn’t it be great if millions of copies of the constitution were mailed every day to all gov agencies? The choices would be: Trash it or Read it. “Ignore it” a choice no longer.

Well it’s about time! His utopia nonsense is permeating policy! [shakes fist at a cloud]

I just discovered a subreddit whose members post about how they are being gangstalked - unknown people watch, monitor and infiltrate their lives. They have 900 active posters and their common theme is how they detect the infiltrators’ presence. My initial reaction was of concern for them. 1/2

In the old days, I would listen to a 10 song album repeatedly and after some time my brain would start playing the next song before it actually started. Now I have a music app, and if I don’t set it on random my brain does the same thing, but now it’s tens of thousands songs.

Been away from social media for a while. My mental state is not getting better. More and more, I struggle with trying to see silver linings. The worst part is watching others support the opposite of goodness. My kind of discomfort is their rai·son d'ê·tre. Humans. So disappointing.
