There were multiple layers of barricades on the west side of the Capitol Building for a reason. This Secret Service memo from Dec 30th mentions numerous planned marches on the Capitol and even an “occupy congress” group. We knew they were marching there. Just not what they’d do when they got there.

We knew they were going to march on the Capitol. Chatter on rightwing boards was pointing towards planned violence. The Proud Boys def had a plan. What we didn’t “know” was that the FBI apparently wasn’t tracking any of this and the only resistance they’d meet would be Capitol Police.

Were you not on Twitter at that time? Everyone I followed knew it was coming. He’d been signaling for 2 months that he had options to overturn the election. And when all those failed his last option was going to be on Jan 6th. I didn’t sleep that week and took the day off to watch it happen.

Everyone saw Jan 6th coming from a mile away and no one did anything to stop it. Then for the next 5 years they did nothing to keep it from happening again. Why would it be any different next year?

I coach an inner city HS baseball team. All brown and black kids. I’ve got more raw talent on the field than any of the suburban white teams that kick our ass. If my kids grew up playing ball we’d be a force. But my kids are 2 yrs in playing against kids who’ve played their whole lives.
