I’m an entrepreneur from Vancouver with a passion for technology, learning, and connections. I love hockey, experiences, and spending time with my wife and two kids.
Here is why Anthropic and Claude are scared. Well, there’s the issue of unsafe product shipping but I will get into that another day.

Palm Pilots, Windows Mobile and Samsung DeX tried to replace the PC by shrinking the desktop. AI changes the equation: foldables like the Fold 8 and iPhone Duo could become our everyday work devices—not by replicating the PC, but by doing more of the work for us. #AI #foldables

Anthropic & OpenAI have said today they will be slowing down advancements. I’m skeptical they developed morals overnight & I think their greater concern is how open source models are accelerating & will likely be able to run on your own PC without having Claude or ChatGPT. It’s always about money.

Thinking about all those impacted by 9/11. I’m sure everyone that was around then still remembers vividly the moment they found out. In my car on the way to college when I heard it on the radio and called my mom. Even with all of the rhetoric, I’m a proud Canadian that’s proud to stand by the US.

So, Anthropic thwarted someone trying to build a bio weapon using Claude today. I’m not surprised someone is trying that but it really feels like a convenient way to show why open weight models should not be trusted and we should trust Anthropic.

I’m down off my AI doomsday perch. My biggest thought today though is that I’m concerned about future generations.

I used to think how Google would change people and how they think or process information. Now it’s all about the prompt. I’m going to struggle as my kids get older explaining this.

I just need to know if I can play Angry Birds Bounce on the iPhone Duo. That’s all. #iphoneduo

Man, Apple killed it this year. The iPhone Duo is going to replace my phone and ipad in 1 shot. Apple Pencil is a killer feature. #apple #iphoneduo

Very proud of our team at www.eligeo.ai as they launch their rebrand this week. The company I started in 08 as an IT provider turned CRM consultant turned monday.com partner & now a leading Claude and AI consultant. Proud of the team there led by our CEO Mike and amazing brand work by Leticia.

@stephenking.bsky.social Hi Stephen. I’m looking for my next read. What’s the one book of yours you’d crown as the must-read above all?

Whew. Almost forgot but it is #Week49. Counting down to holidays that I always take every year. Looking forward to a bit of a break. 7 more days.

All fine if a union feels the need to strike but I am perplexed that a union thinks they have as much bargaining power as they did in the 90's. These strikes simply make small businesses reconsider how they use mail and deliveries. Once that's figured out, no turning back. Less jobs. #CanadaPost

It’s a travel day. I’m excited to heading to Calgary this afternoon for Eligeo’s 17th Christmas party and annual summit for our team. Lots of exciting discussions (pro and casual) coming up over the next 72 hours. #teambuilding #yyc #business

#Week47 Building a business isn’t easy. I’ve told my wife how “this next hire will do it” but that was so many hires ago. As I embark on the “next” big hire, I don’t think in those terms anymore but rather how this new person is going to help the business and our people grow and excel.

I’m back into my gaming! I’m notorious for having video games but not getting around to playing them. I dusted off #RedDeadRedemption2 today. It’s a good escape from my business life.
