Just finished My Home Hero. An incredible crime thriller about a father who goes to the extremes to protect his family. It carries a good message about the value of life, perception of those who do illegal or bad things, and the struggles that come with the cycle of revenge. Beautiful manga.

Elusive Samurai was extremely fun. Covering a lesser known part of Japanese history and weaving great comedy together with beautiful storytelling made for a great read. Sadamune Ogasawara may be one of the coolest historical men ever.

Elusive Samurai has been a lot of fun so far. Mixing a historical lesson with genuinely great comedy is really smart cuz it makes me care more about these figures. So far Shoken and Sadamune have been standouts among the antagonists. Always a mark of good writing when I can root for villains.

And so... I close the curtains on Soul Eater. What a manga. Genuinely such an enjoyable time. It held up to every expectation I had and even slammed some of them beyond what I expected. It felt great to read something I used to love and still love it.

Finished Fire Force today! While I have my gripes with some stuff, it was overall a great time. It's straight up just popcorn Hopecore ass shonen and it's awesome.

I'm not caught up entirely yet but Shiori Experience might be breaking through all the others and taking a seat in my top 3 genuinely one of the absolute greatest manga I've ever read. Fully making me remember why I love music so much.

Finally done with re-reading Worst! Got me a little emotional finishing it again. The fact you get to stick with these boys through all 3 years of high school up to graduation makes the finale feel so good.

Amachi has one of the greatest character progressions in delinquent manga imo. Just a genuinely good run for a character. I love him. Worst starts of weaker than Crows but towards the end it gets so good and just almost reaches that height.

Re-Reading Worst has been a lot of fun. I don't think it's nearly as strong as Crows but it's sincerely such a good time still. I don't think it really picks up steam until Hana and crews 2nd year but once the ball is rolling, it doesn't stop. Great fights in this one.

I've currently been reading Oversleeping Takahashi! ... unfortunately as much as I do like it, the "oh I get why this got axed..." feeling hit early.

Caught up on Bug Ego so long ago and forgot to post about it. Out of the current running ONE works, this is probably my 2nd favorite after Versus. Good balance of comedy and horror while still having a story that's interesting. Can't wait for more of it!

I'm now reading War of the Adults. It's been a banger so far. It's about Japan becoming a meritocracy where good deeds give you higher status but people are gaming the system to get good social status. The MC is a dude who was in a coma from 2010 to 2025 and is functionally a teenager still.

Caught up finally on Sakamoto Days! Ended up really enjoying it. It took a sec to really get it rolling but once it did, it didn't stop. Heisuke stayed my number 1 from his first appearance and only went up from there. Great manga.
