Federal ICE actions increase harms for our communities while diverting critical funds from healthcare. We must examine how ableism is part of these operations, where "people with disabilities face an increased threat of violence at the hands of the federal immigration enforcement agency."

I cannot overstate the importance of reading books, particularly novels by respected authors, for critical thinking skills and reading comprehension. If the big gun novelists don't interest you, start small and work your way up. Or read whatever interests you. Just read. Or listen. It's all books.

@indivisible.org marched today in North Canton, OH, among 3000+ other citizens in my area. I’ve never felt more proud of my city - we’re fed the hell up, and we’re not being quiet about it. Enough is enough. Hands off our jobs, economy, bodies, immigrants, queer, and disabled Americans. #handsoff

I am putting my oldest on a plane in 5 days to spend (provided they take off and land properly!) 10 in countries that don't trust us and don't want anything to do with us. America has lost its place in the world, and my girls are all out there trying to find their own - perfect timing, no? (1/2)
