By calling it a leopard cat you emphasize that it's distinct from a leopard in size, closer to a domestic cat.
It's not a logical name perhaps, but as long as there's a clear distinction between "leopard" and "leopard cat", it's easier to say than "small wild cat that is spotted like a leopard".

I agree, it's not the same breathing a human does and that it solely depends on one's definition.
To prevent having to define breathing itself, saying "robots don't breathe like (current) humans do" might be more clear compared to merely stating that "robots don't breathe".

Many say it's a Christmas movie, but IMO it's a movie that just happens to play *during* Christmans (in-universe).
It doesn't have any impact on the story though and could've played during *any* holiday.
