Give a listen. A great episode.
Anyone who thinks the mid-terms will be a reset needs to wake up. MAGA is going full throttle with threat, intimidation, being puppets for Putin, shooting people in the streets.
And the threat to Canada looms large.

Cycling like the Dutch would slash the world’s carbon footprint
If everybody cycled like the Dutch, we could offset the UK or Australia’s entire carbon footprint.

Yesterday, someone wrote to me that truckers need diesel, and nobody cares about the genocide of Ukrainians as long as truckers get their diesel.

I came back to tell him the fantastic news that russia will save American truckers for several groundbreaking hours. But he blocked me. 🤕

We won’t stand by while Mark Carney launches the biggest attack on workers’ rights, Indigenous rights, and the environment that we've seen since the Harper era.

Join our emergency town hall on October 14th, and let’s build the power to stop Bill C-39 together.

Fellow Victorians - you know who NOT to vote for,
Hoooboy. The NDP has surfaced these fairly recent tweets from Joachim Agou, the Conservative candidate for Victoria-Beacon Hill.

Includes video of car driving into Sept 2025 pro-Palestinian demonstration in Switzerland and Agou replying in French: "He should have reversed as well!!!"

Carney has a chance to show us there’s actually still a difference between his government and the one we’d have if Poilievre had won the election.

Will he take it?

Federal funding to help LGBTQ rights groups survive the attacks on their humanity is about to expire.

He can do something about it:

yes, BCers must remember Lorne is 4 th BC con leader in two years.

We don’t know if he’s will be a leader for another 2 years if he wins or not.

But we know all those racist, bigoted, kooks MLAs in the BC conservative party are still there

Why vote for a far right chaos clown party?

#bcpoli
How far is too far for the Lorne Doerkson and the B.C. conservatives? Don't forget this is the same party that allowed Dallas Brodie to run for them in last election.

In 2025 Heather Maahs invited ARPA, a lobby that proposed criminalizing abortion in British Columbia, to the provincial legislature.

Now she's running for re-election.

Vote to keep the conservatives out of legislature. Vote to protect abortion rights in B.C.

At 3:00pmET today, the House of Commons is scheduled for its first vote on Bill C-39 — Carney’s push to bulldoze nature, run roughshod on Indigenous rights, and kill the right to strike.

I’ll be watching to see if any Liberal MPs show a shred of a backbone in the face of their conservative leader.

LNG Canada Phase 2 would double output to 30 million tonnes a year, while global gas demand falls and a glut approaches. And they want to expand before proving Phase 1 is safe: its flaring already exceeds B.C. permits. Real leadership means scaling up clean energy, not doubling down fracked gas.

🔥If we use public dollars to electrify all these LNG exports, BC’s climate pollution will still increase by ~13 million tonnes.
🔥When the gas is finally burned overseas, add another ~130 million tonnes of climate pollution.

Critically endangered orcas in B.C. are struggling to navigate in a sea of shipping noise
Our need for transportation and shipping is causing a kind of pollution that’s invisible (and in this case, inaudible) to humans. What does all this noise mean for the 75 or so Southern Resident Kille...

Now the question is: Where is Poilievre and Carney's condemnation of such a threat?
The National Post attack on NDP Leader Avi Lewis crosses the line into threat.
They invoke the same religious code words used by extremists who assassinated Yitzhak Rabin.
It is unacceptable to use religious intimidation to shut down debate on Gaza.

The oil industry is unwilling to pay for this pipeline because even they know the world is moving away from fossil fuels. This project leaves Canadians bearing all the risks of a bad investment without any of the rewards.
