I really enjoy how in almost every online FTM resource from 1990-2010 or so you can encounter a sincere reckoning with the apparently widespread community belief/fear that testosterone makes you (the presumed reader of these almost always being a heterosexual trans man) gay

Also. With much love to my friends who think differently. And with recognition of my hypocrisy given that one of MY favorite characters to analyze (Cersei) is Buffalo Bill for boys and I wouldn't have it any other way. I don't think the reason we didn't get Buffalo Bill for boys was transphobia
I haven't watched the finale yet, I am reserving any and all judgments until I do. I am fully willing to believe it's bad. I just don't have a lot of faith specifically in the people who, say, think this season was bad bc there was abusive incest in it and depicting that is icky

The thing is. I have a lot of understanding for the psychological mechanics of sexual repression as someone who has been there myself in quite a few ways. And I understand that those beliefs are by nature never gonna be internally consistent
Who knows what they're actually thinking about it, I kind of suspect they just saw a feminist organization posting a lengthy essay and liked the immediate vibes, but I have in fact had a dom go full Frollo before so I can never be certain

Also. Daniel Molloy was right to ask those interview questions because he's right being a stutterer DOES give you some extremely cliched hangups. Just some incredibly entry-level foundational traumas. Other stuff going on with Lestat too of course that's less entry-level but.
