My favorite part of the Bible (unironically! Running into a text studying it academically basically was responsible for getting me into this field in the first place) is the bit in Ezekiel where God explains that he gave humans bad laws on purpose because he was mad at them

Last night I did ketamine and talked about Steven Universe, thus immediately resolving dialectics forever. Like Jesus

Devastated to report that even after all these years my unfortunate parasocial crush on Matt Mercer can still be activated just by there being a Critical Role season I am able to get into again

Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma is really fucking good

We need to study what makes the behavior of men in online hookup situations so deeply uniquely unserious

I have no clue why but an extremely specific type of extroverted dorky middle-class Gen X man (usually but not always a Copenhagen native) LOVES me whenever I meet them at events. My leading theory is that it's because they all have neurodivergent trans kids I remind them of

Semi-unironically starting sex work to pay for the Switch 2 + new Fire Emblem. It's like that old unfunny PS5 bit but real and funny this time

The external security guards at the dyke party were so rude but the tgirl in the wardrobe (working right next to them) was SO nice

Being autistic at the club is actually so fun. Also RSD-inducing but only in the morning.

Often these resources are specifically debunking this apparently very common fear by recounting that they used to dread it but are now, much to their relief, several years on testosterone and still only interested in penetrating sexy ladies (the fear that T makes you a bottom is always implicit too)
However. There is something so delightfully libidinal about the fixation on the idea that if transition transforms our sexualities it must be because our special XX bodies react to T in all the same ways that cis men's bodies do except we tragically also turn uncontrollably into massive faggots

I really enjoy how in almost every online FTM resource from 1990-2010 or so you can encounter a sincere reckoning with the apparently widespread community belief/fear that testosterone makes you (the presumed reader of these almost always being a heterosexual trans man) gay

Daniel Malloy: "Ok, even I can see I'm not gonna get a straight answer about the stuttering, so, uh..what're you listening to these days? What inspires?"

Lestat: "Adam Friedland. He's a legend, shit his trousers live on air. The others, so mean, but he endures. Bill Simmons should give him a job."

Unfortunately I do think I'm Armand sun Lestat moon Daniel rising. Which is of course why Louis is my favorite. I wouldn't do all that to him though.

Elliot Page is kind of transitioning into Tobias Menzies facewise. Respect

Also. With much love to my friends who think differently. And with recognition of my hypocrisy given that one of MY favorite characters to analyze (Cersei) is Buffalo Bill for boys and I wouldn't have it any other way. I don't think the reason we didn't get Buffalo Bill for boys was transphobia
I haven't watched the finale yet, I am reserving any and all judgments until I do. I am fully willing to believe it's bad. I just don't have a lot of faith specifically in the people who, say, think this season was bad bc there was abusive incest in it and depicting that is icky

Somewhat frustrated with The Vampire Lestat discourse specifically because everyone seems to have a different, unrelated, but very strong, problem with the season

The thing is. I have a lot of understanding for the psychological mechanics of sexual repression as someone who has been there myself in quite a few ways. And I understand that those beliefs are by nature never gonna be internally consistent
Who knows what they're actually thinking about it, I kind of suspect they just saw a feminist organization posting a lengthy essay and liked the immediate vibes, but I have in fact had a dom go full Frollo before so I can never be certain

TMI ///

Something so deeply and specially unserious about seeing someone who's (consensually! It was a great experience!) done Controversial Yet Popular BDSM Sex Act to you several times liking an infographic calling for it to be criminalized and punished with prison time as assault

Also. Daniel Molloy was right to ask those interview questions because he's right being a stutterer DOES give you some extremely cliched hangups. Just some incredibly entry-level foundational traumas. Other stuff going on with Lestat too of course that's less entry-level but.
