there's this rubber "paint"(?) that you can use to cover the section that's meant to be lighter so you wouldn't paint over it by accident and later peel it off! as for the brushes i can unironically recommend those for kids with water reservoir 😭 and plastic palette to control the amount of paint

like, in a painting? usually it's best to let it dry fully and use tiny brush if you want to add finer details ! or use a pencil, sometimes I use a watercolour one 🙂‍↕️ but it heavily depends on technique u use
