Hot take: the honorable thing for Michigan to do is not fight this. Take the L, we deserve it.
BREAKING: The MAC has reversed its position and is fighting the Big Ten's extra 1 second for Michigan.

"Waste fraud and abuse" is code for "undeserved"
There are endless studies showing this and also the financial and societal benefits of universal basic income and or housing-first policies but the U.S. never goes for any of it because it would require allowing the poor to receive benefits that the rich consider “undeserved”
“A single-payer universal health care system could cover every American, save more than 100,000 lives a year, and still cost $1 trillion less than the system it would replace, according to a new preprint study led by researchers at the Yale School of Public Health.”

This is a shame, because I was working on my treatise about Woke 3.2.
There’s no Woke 1 or Woke 2. There’s only staying woke. Everything else is white people nonsense that should be swiftly disregarded.

I love to criticize our local institution of higher education, but this is a great idea.
The University of Michigan recently announced plans to mask first-semester grades for students in its liberal arts college starting fall 2027.

The school plans to simply list classes as “P” for pass or “NC” for no credit on official transcripts.

It's not the first school to try the tactic in an effort to ease stress for freshmen.

Is a voter, Jewish or otherwise, who would cast a ballot solely on whether a candidate supports Bibi and his treatment of the Palestinians, persuadable for the Democrats? I feel like a lot of the discourse is skipping that question. Leaving aside what else one could plausibly say about such a voter.

The lack of a Black representative from Detroit was a knock on the nonpartisan redistricting commission in Michigan. Now that a Black candidate has won, does that criticism disappear? Or is it a sign of a fairly drawn district?

How did you become a libertarian?

We sat down with 10 scholars and staff at the Cato Institute—with different origin stories, areas of expertise, and concerns—to find out how they came to libertarianism, what gives them hope, and what they would fix first if they could.
