What a fucking joke.

The EU is requesting feedback from EU residents regarding the use of LLMs within the arts, and guidance on policymaking toward it.

If you are an EU resident, feedback here, as it's already heavily slanted in favor of slop

So, Facebook got fined for damaging children's mental health.

Meanwhile Facebook: Reels button cannot be removed, and now shows a permanent "you got new reels" icon even if you never interact with the reels (and the algorithmeec feed there is atrocious)

I now have 3 side projects that I'm too hesitant to release as products. And 1 side project I'm too hesitant to release as open source.

I'm a coward.

"I don't read AI code"

Meanwhile AI: "Yes. I replaced working reconnect behavior, IDs, selectors, copy, and accessibility markup when none of that was in scope. That was not a layout fix. "

Anthropic's Opus 4.6 is the 4.5 they completely nerfed in spring. Only now they made it 100x more verbose to waste as many of your tokens as possible.

Fable is original (very capable) Opus 4.5 with slightly improved context and slightly reduced verbosity.

Haven't tried Opus 5

Hate it when modern authors learn a new word and think it's the only one worth using all the time

Reading Mieville's Bas Lag books. There are no other words for "power" than "puissance". Even if used three times in the same paragraph

And most modern writers suffer from this

Funniest thing about World Cup final was Madonna basically being an opening act for BTS, and only being let out of catacombs for 10 seconds, flanked by guards so she doesn't escape

Codex is still incapable of producing any useful designs, and will constantly break existing ones.

v0 by Vercel is "Corporate Memphis, AI version"

Claude is close to v0, can actually work within existing designs

Variant deteriorated into 5 repeating templates

People claiming amazing things that Fable is doing are lying. Finally tried it. Just as stupid as Opus 4.6 with or without explicit instructions.

(And the "flicker-free new renderer" in Claude Code they've now spent a year trying to make is ass)

There are 15 000 managers and 25 000 designers at Apple who looked at the Playground app icon (and product) and said: yup, this is an app and icon worthy of Apple brand.

(Well, it is, isn't it, these days)

It's incredibly funny just how absolutely incompetent and greedy @AnthropicAI is.

Usage "extensions" for a day or two. "Promotion credits" for €1.70. No reverts or compensation for fuckups.

I took a week for Apple to give me my iCloud Photos takeout. Download links are generated client side. To use curl, you have to manually click each link, copy download link from browser download, stop the download, start curl

Surprised that curl works

I can't believe that people who flood Steam's Next Fest and other Steam campaigns/sales with shit don't see that whatever games/demos they put out are just that: shit.

So many games lack even basic understanding of controls, much less of gameplay.
