I regularly see these old men in Bournemouth gardens with a banner about freedom, so today I asked if freedom means abortion on demand. Of course the answer is no so I shouted they don’t really believe in freedom and that that they are morons. I got a bit of satisfaction from that 🫤

*BRILLIANT*
The French made a short film about what could happen after all immigrants would follow the ‘_white, angry old man’s_’ advice to go back where they came from.*

Fed up with people shirking responsibility by arguing that the UK causes just 1% of emissions?

Here are two fantastic analogies from a primary school teacher, Mark in Coventry, who called Sheila Fogerty on @lbc.co.uk - one involving dog poo 😆

Governments need to watch and sign up to this briefing which took place last year to originally an invited audience now available to all online and at on screen showings around the country . It was urgent before now it’s essential

Last week I visited an art show in the Poole Museum. The art was created by Jason Wilsher Mills who many years ago as a child got chickenpox. He was in hospital for a year and lost the use of his legs . He now creates colourful art celebrating and commenting on disability

To cover up 1 high level report into nature collapse & national security looks odd. To cover up 2 looks like a pattern. Episode 2 of my @therestpolitics.bsky.social pod explores a hidden DEFRA report on UK vulnerability to food shocks & asks how confident we can be in our ability to feed ourselves

Can somebody explain why so many people who spout right wing commentary on social media sites have profiles that say they are ‘digital content creators’?

We watched an interview with George Monbiot yesterday on YouTube where he clearly explained how the ultrarich are not only extracting wealth but essentially controlling our Governments and lives. Stuff we all already sort of know but explained in a way that sharpened the focus.
This point needs to be made over and again:
The main purpose of wealth taxes should not be to raise revenue. That's a small and secondary benefit. The main purpose should be to *reduce the fortunes of the ultrarich*. Why? Because those fortunes present a massive threat to democracy and public life.
