🧪 20 patients with candidemia (10 C. albicans, 10 non-albicans) and 22 controls without sepsis.
📊 RNA-seq and qPCR revealed marked overexpression of miR-125a and miR-99b only in C. albicans.
🧬 These miRNAs were associated with repression of immune and cell-cycle genes.
