No one talks about the total juggernaut of our unreformed right wing press who will try and torpedo any rejoin with scare stories around having no choice in accepting shengen, the euro, paying more into the pot, fishing etc.

Yep, I can see that they definitely swapped ecstasy and harmony for pub gak and bitterness

It's crazy that some of us still attach old people now to World War II when they are more likely to have been punks in the mid 70s. I get the impression most don't mind being wrongly associated with it.

In central Barcelona castellano is the language of the street probably due to lots of non Catalans now living there lots of south Americans, people from other parts of Spain, North Africa, other Europeans. You hear it in the suburbs like Badalona, Llobregat, Sabadell etc.

Yep, both my wife and I now in our 50s, we have been talking for many years of eventually down sizing or selling up in the UK and then retiring to the continent and that opportunity was taken away from us.

He'll probably end up being your keeper again when you're in division 2 next year...

The only reason any government hasn't said sorry you lot have to take a haircut on this is that it wants the likes of BlackRock to invest in other government projects and is super scared to make any of them pay the price - total corporate welfare.

I spoke to a friend of a friend at a party who works for the BBC news - while he hinted at things were bad, his love for the organisation and what it represents kind of stopped him and other colleagues from calling it out in the vain hope that it will get better.

Annoyingly there are loads of fairly obvious leavers the government can pull for both. I think they'll pull the license fee and add the cost to internet and phone bills which makes sense when the charter is up, take overseas students out of immigration, perhaps make Chris Bryant culture secretary?

I believe it was more to do they were so scared to have those who voted leave be labelled 'conned', 'stupid' or 'gullible' for taking in the Russian propaganda plus those taking Putin aligned Oligarch's money in the 00s and 10s was very much cross party and potentially embarrassing if investigated

Lovely to see the City players and manager celebrating with the fans. It's a good thing than none of them will fuck off the second the bans or relegation come in. Oh no.

Surely, they need to be done before Christmas or the league will be a total farce.

It's a million times closer in look, feel, inhabitants and climate to the Isle of Man than anything in Argentina. Their only solid claim is proximity.

They kind of need to do a big reform of the energy market right now by removing standing charges and stop electricity being set by wholesale gas prices. This is one thing that will make a dent. They could also do away with peak railway fares like in Scotland.

Didn't he get a whacking great out of court settlement from the Murdoch's for phone hacking?! So he probably doesn't need the money.

Wasn't he getting two pay cheques one PAYE and another as a dividend from a shell company in Jersey. Totally knew they were cooking the books

These deeply weird people are crying out for a wealth tax.

I hope if any of these people's firms do come up with Artificial Super Intelligence, instead of destroying the world, it decides that billionaires are a nuisance and then disinvests then all then redistribute all their wealth globally
