I’d play Barnes RW.

Wissa. He has shown very good quality at turning on the ball and driving forward. Osula offers that more physical option to stretch the defence and cause problems ahead of him.

I do love a good Kev report.

I like the fluid movement in attack. It will take time for players to be fully synced up with each other in this regard. The amount of rotation we’ve had to do up front hasn’t helped in this regard either.

I skipped last years iteration. Mostly due to the bad vibes and lack of time. But I’ll go again this season I think.

I had Raya and 2 Arsenal defenders. 😩

Definitely think MFP would be better suited to playing from the LF for us. I’d move Barnes to the RF personally. He played well today think he’s too focused on coming back inside. On the right he’ll go outside more. Pardo seems happy to go in or out when playing from the left.

So typical that we will be facing Coventry straight after their first win of the season. But hopefully it encourages them to try to attack us and we can just hit them on fast counters a lot.

This. The keeper guessed the right way and got right to the corner to save it. It was a good save. The penalty itself was probably a little soft and a little telegraphed maybe. But it wasn’t a terrible penalty.

Wasn’t Hall rumoured to be in the Leadership group?

Who would have thought that the old white Billionaire is racist. Shocking revelation that.

He why Osula was generally appreciated by fans. He worked his ass off even if things weren’t going well for him.

That’s what you need to see from players when on the ball isn’t working. Showing that desire and work-rate will keep the fans on your side.

Think it’s one of the best games he’s played for us. Hope performances like that become the norm. Then we can sell him for £80m next summer instead of £40m 🤣

He often put himself into the position where he was about to lose the ball and then he’d fall on the floor.

There are some games he’ll be a big asset in. He was excellent yesterday and I’m delighted to see him fit with some confidence up.
September 20, 2026 at 7:34 AM
Yeah huge fan of him. That team was just so dynamic.

I loved this Newcastle side. Such a shame it didn’t last long.

I’m at 31 years myself.

Personal opinion, if possible leave Hall out from the start. But maybe he’ll want to play on his birthday.
September 8, 2026 at 12:36 PM
Maybe he meant for Liverpool.
September 8, 2026 at 11:29 AM
True but our last game was Saturday. So my main concern would be anyone being overloaded. Shouldn’t be a huge concern this early in the season but some players take longer to get into full rhythm.
September 8, 2026 at 11:27 AM
Liverpool left massive gaping holes in behind them which is where most of our shots came from. We’ll do well against teams leaving big gaps. Creating in tight spaces continues to be our problem. MFP will hopefully help with that problem.
September 6, 2026 at 12:40 PM
There are definite concerns in the side. I have no issue with the journos identifying them. But they need to be equally praising when things are working. But at the moment, we are looking shaky in defence and not overly creative going forward. But it’s early doors and I’m sure that will improve.

Pardo up top could also work maybe. Great to have options. Can also play RW
