Just saw the movie and was disappointed as a Zach Cregger and as a Resident Evil-fan. It really wanted to be The Thing but that attempt was also halfhearted. I get it - working on franchises can kill the creativity. Hope he gets to do more big budget originals next.

Once again I am asking why this happens to indie games and not big blockbusters where you can fuck the bear or go to strip clubs. And once again I know the answer
We are aware that Steam has classified Nighthawks as an adult game and has excluded it from searches (and delisted it entirely in certain countries). We are working on it. Valve is under the impression that this game is way sexier than it actually is.

Finished 'The Blood of the Dawnwalker'. The soft time limit and day-night-cycle are nothing to be afraid of and its greatest strength. Wouldn't have finished it otherwise. Yes, you won't experience everything in one playthrough. That is fine! Also it's no Witcher 3 clone - the combat is way better.

Big games going over budget shouldn't surprise nor scare Sony. Clinging to exclusivity so much that PC ports aren't acceptable also won't help in changing public opinion that Playstation has no games. Now it has none minus Physint!
This week, PlayStation announced that it had pulled out of publishing Hideo Kojima's next game, Physint. But the company didn't give a reason. So I made some calls.

Here's why PlayStation bailed and why Xbox snapped Kojima right up: www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

I don't care for Sony or Microsoft but how do you basically gift the competitor a Kojima game?! What do you mean, you don't want to print money? Another huge fumble by Playstation.

Who would've thought it could be even possible that Nintendo would forget what an artstyle is on *Zelda*. Once again very funny move if it wasn't *Zelda*.

After the harrowing debates around 'Lanterns' and the Zach Cregger Resident Evil-Movie producers should once again realize that listening to fandoms is never worth it. These people don't know art, they just want easter eggs. Fandoms crave Glup Shittos but never thoughtful adaptions.

the next couple years of every developer having to be like yeah we use ai all the time it speeds up our process like crazy it's fully integrated into our pipeline; also none of it is in the game which is all fully human game are going to be really funny

After a really rough demo the developer's show attitude like they're selling GTA VI. You know that people just... won't buy your game? Let's be honest, AA development is an uphill battle - you can't just burn goodwill *before* early access.

That's seven times the number of steam alone. Probably more than all of PC gaming combined at this point. Locking in to this insane goal *again* is just not healthy for your career. But Sharma is very much just a willing sacrificial lamb to sunset Xbox.

Great now it's not even the question *if* the AI bubble could burst but *how* hard, and mainstream financial journalists downplay the extreme risks. We know it's coming and we know It's going to hurt workers - but stopping the orphan grinder would mean less profits four our sweet billionaires!

Great. Now the Star Wars AND cool superhero movies starring Ryan Gosling are made by the director of Free Guy. People love their bland nothingburgers when going to the cinema, can't have nice things ever again.

Dark Souls 2 is so mechanically obtuse that it makes me love it more. Armor is basically meaningless and a full Havel’s set has the same damage reduction as a single specific ring. Poise is fake. Your I-frames are dictated by two arbitrary stats that both contribute to a third arbitrary stat. ❤️

We at Bethesda aim to please with at best mediocre crowd-pleasers that take decades of development time. Somehow we also never learn about announcing our titles two generations before they release. Here, have some remasters that don't work with thousands of mods the community painstakingly crafted.
NEW: Bethesda has announced a slew of new Fallout games, including Fallout 5 and Fallout 3 + New Vegas remasters. The company also confirmed my scoop last week that it is working with Obsidian on a Fallout game.

I spoke to Todd Howard about the roadmap: www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

The newest 'Top 10 Games'-trend is pretty humbling. Even outside 'Gun & Ball'-gamers like 95% of the participating accounts post only AAA open world titles and not a single indie. This, the crashing industry and young people pretty much playing Roblox exclusively seems really bad for the future, huh
