For the last couple of years, library workers have been begging and pleading for attention on this. If you think this won't happen in your community, guess what, it will. You *have* to get involved. Now. Don't wait until the ban is in place.

No one escapes this. We’re in it together, or we’re next in line for the horrors. Where gender is concerned, the rules & specs of “appropriate” masculinity & femininity are neither fixed nor absolute. You’re probably not as safe as you think.
As a trans person, I have no great faith that cis people will stand up for my rights, but I do have this warning:
If you let them revoke our passports you are signaling that they can revoke yours, or anyone else's, if it becomes expedient.
