Every time I draw cartoon characters punching each other’s lights out, I’m actually encouraging and also literally doing violence. If I draw the Baba Yaga eating a baby, I’m literally advocating cannibalism and also doing meal-planning. Were Bluesky’s guidelines written by twelve-year-olds?

there's also this underlying urge to remove any individual voice/stylization/vision of the artists behind the work - everything needs to be HD, everything needs to be glossily lit, nothing can be abstracted in an interesting way, nothing can challenge the audience even in the SHAPES that are used
