I'm genuinely worried how people take LLM responses as fact. It was bad enough when Google snippets were taken as a citation—at least that didn't hallucinate!

The world managed to come together once to repair the damage we'd done to the ozone layer, but now it's heartbreaking to see how corporate greed seems to be making prevention of an irreversible climate disaster an impossibility. We've failed as a society.

Hopefully it will go like Musk's War on Wikipedia and just result in a mountain of donations. But not worth it if people are actually in danger.

Not much of a consolation, but male doctors not taking women seriously is not just an America problem. It feels even more of a punch in the gut when you see doctors googling something you said.

A friend of mine, who has a PhD in chemistry, was completely dismissed regarding a problem with her son's health. He was dangerously underweight and they just fobbed her off for ages.
He eventually did have surgery and is doing well.

Or maybe ministers could have tried being proactive some time in the last half century so we don't have the extreme weather 🤷♀️.
Not everyone has the money or space to stock up. Some people will have a room full of tinned food while some will have nothing.

Do they want a repeat of 2020? Cause that's how you get a repeat of 2020. There would have been plenty of toilet roll and dried pasta for everyone if people didn't stockpile like nutters. Took ages for the supply chain to sort itself out.

Is it me or does continuing to milk this cash cow for every last drop feel analogous to drilling for oil in the North Sea because there's still some left?

I know there's the argument for separating the art and the artist, but if your essentially funding a campaign to erase an entire group of people, I think maybe that argument doesn't fly.

Native trees are also much more resistant to storms than those used in plantations (like spuce). As our climate continues to get more aggressive, this is going to become increasingly evident.

I've worked out how to turn off the Adobe AI on my desktop, but I haven't worked out how to do it on my phone yet. It asks if it wants me summarise my frickin bin collection calendar. 🫤
