First visit to the vet for our little nightmare dog since we moved. When i tell you that he's anxious, it's not him whining in the corner. It's him fully demonic possession eeling in the vet's arms snarling like a hell hound. Sigh. Doggie downers, here we go again.

Doing some serious therapy work to unfuck my terrible teens and twenties. So far, it's been surprisingly relieving. I carry a lot of bullshit that it's been refreshing to start putting down.

I love Virgo season deeply. Things settle down and start working, everyone is pulling their weight, it's quite soothing. And also i could do without the uptick in pickiness and passive-aggressiveness, especially from other Virgos. Come on now.

my wife has a friend who sent Dolly Parton a painting she made & a letter explaining how much Dolly's music meant to her while she was transitioning. Dolly responded to it personally & paid for her top surgery. Sounds like an urban legend but it's real. I think we're going to more stories like this.

I am a movie director in a verse where 'talkies' never took off, so it's silent movies all the way, and also we are filming all over the Solar system bc all the planets are accessible and have their own natural wonders and flora/fauna. I mean frankly i would move to that verse tomorrow.
Regret to inform you all I am now a private detective, a job that requires social skills, which I do not have. Anyone wanna hire a detective who is good at puzzles but bad at people? (Anyone else get assigned detective and want to be the people person and face-recognizer on a team?)

Apparently my tastebuds have gotten used to good coffee and now Starbucks tastes terrible. Was it always this bad and i just didn't know any better?? This whole week has been a coffee disaster. Next time I'm bringing a moka pot and coffee grounds with me. 😭

SO badly. People would literally die. She is an OBGYN MD and in-vitro fertilization expert with a phd in spontaneous abortion prevention methods (yes, i am extremely proud of her 🥹) Otoh, she would also never be able to do my job as it involves a lot of very specialized training. 🤷🏻
Thought experiment- if you were suddenly appointed to do your sibling’s job, how badly would you suck at it?
